Medium Term

Components less than and including the 18 month nominal cycle

Short Term

Components around the 80 day nominal cycle
Via the phasing of Yellowcake (CAKE) we can gain some more insight into the phasing across the Uranium sector. Here, price looks to be making a 40 day nominal low with the 40 week low coming up in April 2022.

Summary

Uranium, via URA at least, has suprised with it’s lacklustre move from the 20 week nominal low, likely made in early December. At the short term charts above the phasing of uranium stock Yellowcake (CAKE) gives enhanced clarity to the overall phasing analysis across the sector. In this instrument the 20 week cycle was of higher amplitude. It is therefore wise, going forward when considering the phasing of uranium to examine other instruments in the sector when looking for exposure.
